Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Genkei Labs LLC (“Genkei Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the maker of Sentwise, handles and how. Sentwise is a native macOS app built to keep your data on your machine by default. We wrote this policy to be read, not to be survived.

The short version

• Your mailbox, the voice profile learned from your sent mail, and your stored call transcripts stay on your Mac.
• For AI drafting, only the text needed to write the draft is sent for model processing — and only when you ask for one.
• Account, license, payment, support, and website analytics data are handled separately below.
• That request is relayed through our stateless inference service, which keeps nothing after it returns your draft.
• Your content is never used to train AI models.
• You review every draft. Nothing is sent from your mailbox until you approve it; approved outgoing emails go through your connected email provider.

What stays on your Mac

Sentwise reads your sent mail locally to learn how you write, and it works with the call transcripts you give it locally. Your mail, your learned voice profile, your transcripts, and your drafts are stored on your device. Secrets such as your email app password are kept in the macOS Keychain. When a draft uses call content, our relay receives only the text needed for that draft and does not retain it after returning the response.

What leaves your Mac, and when

To write a draft, Sentwise sends the text needed to generate that draft — such as the relevant transcript and the context that shapes your voice — for model processing. This happens only when you draft, and only for the draft you asked for.

Your request is relayed through a stateless inference service we operate. That relay does not retain your content after it returns the response to your Mac. From there, the request is processed by our model provider (Anthropic) to generate the draft, under their API terms. Your content is not used to train models. We are finalizing zero-data-retention terms with our model provider; until those terms are in force and confirmed in writing, provider-side processing is governed by their standard API terms, and we will update this page when they take effect.

Account, billing, support, and diagnostic data

If you create an account, we process the email address you sign in with to authenticate you and manage your license. If you purchase a paid plan, payment is handled by our reseller and Merchant of Record; they process your payment details under their own privacy policy, and we do not receive or store your full payment card information.

If you email support or use the in-app Report a Problem flow, we receive the information you choose to send so we can respond and troubleshoot. That may include your support email, macOS and Sentwise app versions, error details, screenshots, and a redacted diagnostic bundle. The diagnostic bundle is designed not to include your call content or mail. We use support data to answer the request, fix issues, and maintain service quality; we share it only with service providers needed to run support or when required by law, and retain it only as long as needed for those purposes and ordinary business records.

Website analytics

This website uses privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate traffic. It does not use tracking cookies, does not follow you across sites, and does not build a profile of you.

Your choices and rights

Because your content lives on your Mac, you control it directly — you can review, edit, or delete your drafts, voice profile, and connected accounts in the App. Moving Sentwise to the Trash does not automatically erase all local Application Support, app-container, or Keychain data; contact support for current manual wipe steps if you need every local copy removed. For account or billing data we hold, you may request access or deletion by emailing support@sentwise.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those rights.

Children

Sentwise is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves — including when our data-retention terms with our model provider change. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do, and note material changes in the App where appropriate.
