Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sentwise application for macOS (the “App”), this website, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Genkei Labs LLC (“Genkei Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Sentwise is our product name. By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Sentwise is a native, local-first macOS assistant that learns your writing voice from your sent mail and drafts email on your behalf, including post-call follow-ups. Drafting uses an AI model provider through our managed plan, which is included in your subscription. You review every draft before anything is sent. Details of how your data is handled are described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. Some features require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Trials, subscriptions, billing, and refunds

• Paid subscriptions are offered as individual monthly tiers: Starter, Pro, and Unlimited. A time-limited free trial may be offered before a paid subscription begins. Team and Enterprise plans are not offered yet.
• Payments are processed by Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record, who handles billing, taxes, and payment information. Your purchase is also subject to their terms at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Cancellation. You can cancel anytime, with no lock-in. When you cancel, your plan stays active through the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
• Refunds. You may request a refund within 14 days of a purchase. Because Sentwise is sold through Paddle, our Merchant of Record, refunds are handled by Paddle under the Paddle Buyer Terms and Refund Policy; to request one, use the receipt or “Manage subscription” link in your Paddle confirmation email.
• Managed-plan usage may be subject to fair-use limits, which we describe in the App or at purchase.

4. License and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you control. You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the licensed binaries, or circumvent licensing or usage controls;
• use the Service to send unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or abusive content, or to violate the terms of your email provider or any third party;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide.

Sentwise’s source may be publicly available; the licensed, signed, auto-updating binaries and the managed service are provided under these Terms and any applicable open-source license notices included with the software.

5. Your content

Your email, your voice profile, your call transcripts, and the drafts you create are yours. We do not claim ownership of your content. You are responsible for the messages you choose to send. The permissions you grant us are only those needed to operate the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Third-party services

The Service works with third parties — the email provider you connect, the AI model provider that processes drafting requests for us as our subprocessor, and, on paid plans, a payment processor. Your use of services you contract with, including your email provider and payment processor, is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. AI-generated drafts may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing every draft before it is sent. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or if we are required to by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
